The Hermitage keeps the only large multi-figure automaton in the world dating back to the 18th century which has come down to us unaltered and in a functioning condition. The figures of a peacock, cockerel and owl are fitted with mechanisms that set the automaton in motion. The app provides you with the rare opportunity to see how the Peacock Clock is operating, to scrutinize each detail and to learn a fascinating story of this unique exhibit of the Hermitage collection.
